Saskatoon Blades goaltender Adam Morrison has been
invited to participate in the fourth annual Hockey Canada Program of
Excellence Goaltending Camp.
Morrison, an 18-year-old from Surrey, British Columbia,
was named to the camp as an injury replacement to JP Anderson of the
OHL’s Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors. The camp runs June 11-14 at the
Norma Bush Memorial Arena in Calgary, Alberta and will feature fourteen
goaltenders selected from teams throughout the Canadian Hockey League
(11 in the under-20 age category and 3 in the under-18 age category)
that have been shortlisted as possible candidates for Canada’s National
Junior Team and National U-18 Team respectively.
During the 2008-09 season, Morrison appeared in 13 games
with the Blades, compiling a 9-1-1 record with a 2.49 goals against
average, a .907 save percentage, and 1 shut out.
